You Are Strong & Powerful!



We know that the story we tell ourselves is actually more important than the story itself. So the key is that we must make sense of our past experiences. Our experiences shape our beliefs, which become our reality.


So what belief statement are you telling yourself? Are you staying in the flow of reality? Or are you creating an alternate reality because the truth is too painful to comprehend or to take inventory of? My belief is that we humans are usually much stronger and more resilient than what we usually give ourselves credit for. Can you think of a time in your life when you had super power strength? Or an activity that looking back on you cannot believe you attained? A marathon run, a speech made, an all night homework mountain completed before the deadline, a job you never thought you could attain…


What was that action that you did?


What about that interaction or activity makes you know you were a success?


What desire do you now have that seems so insurmountable?


Now what about this time is different in that you might be exchanging the truth of your superhero strength to create in yourself a weaker less trustworthy person than who you are?


These are some of the types of questions, I ask my mindset coaching clients.


There are 24 hours in each of our days and we can either procrastinate and do nothing to change our laments (last week’s blog) OR we can start today by making baby steps to make small incremental changes that incrementally could have a great effect in creating your desired outcomes.


Maybe it is time for a change in focus, or a change in mindset so that your life experiences can give you a belief that is not lamentable and “stuck”, but based on your strength, and belief that you are here on this earth for a specific purpose, at this specific time in history. What belief would you need to have or change so that you could shape your reality? And what words would you have to use so that you could expand your desired reality to match?
